Welcome to YGODA, Guest!

If you're reading this it means two things:

• You are a guest and you happen to just find yourself here.
  
• You are a new member and need help with moving around the site.
  

Lets hope it's the second one and you're not a wondering guests. Anyways, lets start with the obvious.

Introduction

As a first post, you should introduce yourself to our community! This is a good way to get a warm welcome and it would be your first few points as a new member.

By the way, if you really have no idea what this academy is for, please take note that a Duel Academy wishes to enhance once dueling skill abilities by providing multiple opportunities for it such as tournaments, war duels, etc.

General Rules

Like any other forum, YGODA has its own set of rules that everyone MUST follow. These rules may change at times so it is recommended to read them once in a while. There will be consequences that follow for breaking our Forum's rule.

Testing

Once you introduce yourself you should request a Test in the 'Test Request' section of the forum and a form will be provided for you once you begin posting. Any one who is able to test you will 'Tag' or simply accept your request and Private message you via Dueling Network or they will talk to you via Chatbox.

Dormitories

Now you're tested and you are ranked higher than nothing. Awesome! Now, what do you do? Well lets start by posting in your respective dorm. You can access that section in the 'Core of the Academy' tab. Also, since you have been tested, you are now allowed to join YGODA events. Please note, there are rules regarding dormitory posts.

NOTE: Horakhty Dorm is invite only. Also, Slifer=Top Ra=Middle Obelisk=Low This is done intentionally.

Horakthy may be invite only; however, it is also used as retirement for any staff member that contributed in any way.

Duel Points

Now wait! What else can you do on YGODA? Well thank you for wondering. Our currency is Dueling Points. With the DP you have you can buy many things as well as earn points in many ways.

Won Dueling Points is the DP you earn from winning events, doing homework, clearing challenges etc.(Can be edited by ANY staff member)
The regular DP is effected only by posts (done manually).

The Hangout & Non Yu-gi-oh Area

Now maybe you're not the best duelist around. Maybe you prefer to let out your creativity. You can do this by simply accessing the 'The Hangout' tab. The hangout tab is where all spam will be located. You can play Dice games, participate in/make a RPG, and write fanfictions. This is a great way to obtain DP and also a great way to voice off your creativity. Please read the rules regarding posting in this section.

The non Yu-gi-oh Area is quite different. This is not a place like the hangout. Here you can ONLY request GFX and codes. Please read the rules regarding posting in this section.

If you DO NOT post in the required format when requesting GFX and codes, it will automatically be garbed.

The Staff

Maybe you're wondering, "Who is in this 'staff' and what do they do?" Well, this Guide will answer that for you.


Jobs of Each Staff Group

Administrators - members who control everything in the forum.

Their Job:

Moderators - They simply moderate the forum and the chatbox. You can call them mini-admins.

Their Job:

Teachers - They are members who test other members. They can also post lessons and articles.

Their Job:

Assistants - These members simply assist Administrators.

Their Job:
