How to do a Pendulum Summon?

Going to add a few extra things and rules you need to keep in mind.

Pendulum monsters and pendulum spells both go to the extra deck when destroyed(in case the above statement confused you). Whether or not they are in a pendulum zone as a spell card or a monster zone as a monster card if they will be sent to the extra deck face up. Also it does not matter how they are to be sent to the graveyard if they would be sent there from the field they return to the extra deck.

When you put one in the pendulum scale you are activating a spell card it is not treated as activating a monster effect. Pendulum summons can be entirely negated by cards like solemn warning but cannot be negated by cards like black horn of heaven and thunder king raioh unless the pendulum summon is just for 1 monster. You can negate the activation of pendulum spells by any spell negation that is generic. You cannot negate their activation with spell negation that specifies a type of spell suck as quickplay or continuous or field. They have no spell category.

In addition if the pendulum monsters have their summon negated, their activation as spells negated, or are sent from the hand/deck to the graveyard or returned to the graveyard they will not go to the extra deck face up and will instead go to the graveyard and remain there.

Last thing promise, pendulum scales like levels are able to be modified by effects such as magician of chronomancy and astromancy and odd-eyes pendulum dragon. Pay attention to these as these effects will alter their pendulum scale unless their condition for not doing so is met. Such as controlling both magicians in the pendulum zones.
